#PhotoShoot - A “Fine-Art” Wedding
It is in an elegant 19th century mansion near Paris that the talented Jonathan Ferreira captured bright and light pictures. Jonathan shares with us this stunning fine-art photo shoot organized in cooperation with the wedding dress designer, Mathilde Marie whose work we love too!
“It was on a sunny October afternoon, as the first colors of autumn were embellishing the gardens, that I chose to organize this fine-art wedding shoot, with the collaboration of the wedding dress designer Mathilde Marie. Model Elena Faliez wore a dress created by Mathilde Marie and her hair was styled by Adriana Rusu. The jewelry was a creation of La Chambre Blanche and the Aymée store in Paris provided the shoes.
The bride prepared herself upstairs in the softness of a bright bedroom furnished with beautiful antique furniture, including a magnificent 19th century English dressing table. A moment of calm before the excitement of the photo shoot.
Despite a chilly afternoon, the bride and groom met outside of the beautiful mansion for their first look. I had a lot of fun capturing the emotions of this young couple, whose cheerful temperament and gentle bond brightened the atmosphere of the day. To conclude these intimate moments in the house, the bride and groom shared a glass of champagne in the chic living room surrounded by large old stained-glass windows."
An elegant 19th century mansion
The elegant and luxurious 19th century mansion inspired Jonathan Ferreira for this fine-art wedding shoot. Built by Georges Guyon, a French architect born in 1850, it is located very close to Paris in Saint Maurice, opposite the Vincennes woods. It is one of the mansions, pavilions, and buildings designed by the architect in many streets and avenues in the Paris region, notably near Vincennes, where he lived. Georges Guyon, nicknamed "architect of elegance", was famous for his signature style featuring sculpted balconies, floral ornaments and stained-glass windows.
About his work
"For this photo shoot, I wanted to emphasize the intimate and exclusive atmosphere surrounding the the bride and groom as they prepared themselves and as they met for their first look. I tried to give a soft and romantic aesthetic to my photographs, focusing on light, pastel tones as well as the beautiful and warm colors of autumn. I chose the place for its elegance and French chic."
Jonathan Ferreira is a Parisian photographer who is part of the fine-art wedding trend. That is why he pays special attention to the aesthetic of the framing and to the uncluttered background, in order to leave all its place to the emotion of the moment.
